I live in Hawaii with my husband and three dogs. On my free time I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen. Cooking, baking, snacking (a bit too much), and even just sitting at the kitchen island thinking of what recipes I want to spark up. Work always has my mind on overdrive and being in the kitchen with some good music in the background helps me relax.
Here’s a little background on my Paleo lifestyle (I despise the word “diet”). In 2017 I found out I had an autoimmune disease, liver disease, and a gastro issue. I knew I needed to make a change. My bestie/soul sister/literal first cousin and I thought we would make a lifestyle change together and be each other’s accountability partner. We dove right into a Paleo lifestyle and the journey began.
We researched like crazy for two days and made the change on June 5, 2017. Should we have eased into a 100% Paleo lifestyle? Perhaps…at least that is what we were reading. People told us, “No way could you carb lovers give up bread and ice cream!” But let me tell you, we sure as heck did.
We immediately started noticing changes in our energy, skin, and over all mood. It was the best choice I have ever made for my health and I owe it to my accountability partner:)
Six months after my lifestyle change I had my labs retested. When I received the results I was in tears. My results were amazing! The doctor demanded that I tell her what I changed…PALEO!
This blog is a way for me to express my passion for food and positivity. I have wanted to do this for a while and I’m so excited to make this dream a reality!
